From the 1991 movie 'City Slickers' this was an exchange between Curly (Jack Palance) and Mitch (Billy Crystal)...
Curly: Do you know what the secret of life is?
[holds up one finger]
Curly: This.
Mitch: Your finger?
Curly: One thing. Just one thing. You stick to that and the rest don't mean shit.
Mitch: But, what is the "one thing?"
Curly: [smiles] That's what *you* have to find out.
I'd heard the words, I understood the meaning but it wasn't until I was actually there, on location and doing…

There was a print waiting for me at home last night marking the final shipment of the products I ordered from Red Bubble back in the middle of April.
It took two and a half months to get a print without a big crease running through it (and BTW it shipped from Sacramento) and two months to get the t-shits in the sizes I originally ordered.
Bottom line is they fixed the problems and delivered what I ordered. I haven't heard of others having problems with them, even after posting here and elsewhe…

The saga of my experience with Red Bubble and a warning to you.
I joined a site called RedBubble thinking they were a good resource for selling prints, getting prints done and t-shirts printed, I could not have been more wrong.
I loaded some print sized images and created a t-shirt design, shortly after this, I ordered a shirt, it arrived and looked good, the only problem is these were not preshrunk shirts, they do suggest washing them in cold water but what they don’t tell you is these are th…

I want to share with you a journal entry that Mosa wrote after coming with me on a desert photo shoot, I've also added a photo he took of me during the trip:
"This last weekend I had the privilege of going to the dessert with David Winge.
David and model Sasha picked me up at 2:30 in the morning, exactly on time, and we left to catch the sunrise on the salt lake in the Mojave Dessert. My dog, Diva, and I were returned home by the next evening. We had traveled hundreds of miles in 30 hours.
Wha…

And I'm going to collaborate with .mosa, who posts under the moniker 1PixArt: http://onepixart.com/ a very talented photographer, we'll be discussing future workshops and future collaborations, he has amazing talent for post processing and we think it may be a good fit as we have a common love o…

It was a phenomenal day out there, a little chilly in the early morning but it turned into a perfect day. We found fields of wildflowers in the basin, mainly yellow & white and the beginning of blossoms on the ocotillos. Awesome deep blue skies and no jet traffic contrails to deal with at all, the park is getting a bit crowded right now with lots of people near the main roads with their cameras, I think there were 20 cars in line to get in when we left around noon.

If anyone is interested I wrote a sort of book review/selected excerpts piece based on a chapter of William Mortensen's book "The Model" that was a gift from Amy (thank you soooo much). I'm going to have to see if there is a way to get these books reprinted some time, as dated as they seem there is some very excellent information in them for every artist. Here is a link to the post on Univers d' Artistes, the official blog of Carrie Leigh's NUDE magazine: http://www.universdartistes.com/2009/03/…
